The Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries organizes the ‘Dear Kali Puja’ Lottery. As the name suggests, the lottery is held during the auspicious Kali Pooja festival.

For the cost of ₹200 per ticket, the bumper prize winner can walk away with ₹ 2 Crore. The next seven prizes of the lottery amount to ₹ 10 lakhs, ₹ 9000, ₹ 5000, ₹ 3000, ₹ 2000, ₹ 1000, and ₹ 500, respectively. The tickets are sold in the five series, namely A, B, C, D, and E, while the draw is held at 4:30 PM in October every year.

Since this is an annual lottery, the results of the draw are announced by the Lottery Department on a pre-decided date coinciding with Kali Puja dates. The list of the winning tickets is announced on the department’s website. The list is also published in the Government Gazette.
