The Nirmal Lottery is the Lottery Department of Kerala. It is a weekly draw that is held every Friday. The lottery is very popular with players as it the first prize, amounting in lakhs can change a person’s life drastically. 

The first prize of the ‘Nirmal’ lottery is about ₹ 70 lakhs. The second and third prize of the lottery amount to ₹ 10 lakhs and ₹1 lakh respectively. There is also a consolation prize that amounts ₹ 8000. The tickets for the lottery cost only ₹ 40. 


Since this is a weekly draw, the lottery department announces the results every Friday at 3.30 PM. You can also read the results in the Kerala Government Gazette. Always use a trustworthy source to check the results and see if you have the winning ticket. 


To claim the prize, you need to surrender your prize-winning lottery ticket within 30 days of the draw. 

  • Other documents you are required to submit are your passport-sized photographs, self-attested claim form, copy of your PAN Card, and a valid ID Proof. 
  • You can claim prize money up to ₹1 lakh directly from the District Lottery Office. 
  • However, you need to claim the prize above the amount of ₹1 lakh from the office of the Director of State Lotteries, located in Thiruvananthapuram, or from a bank. 
  • You must put your signature and mention your name and address one the winning ticket and attach it to the claim form.
